Associate Professor of Thermodynamics and heat transfer, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Direction of the research team devoted to the modeling, analysis and optimization of advanced thermodynamic systems. The team is also devoted to the development of Hybrid data-driven and physical phenomena based models to accurately simulate the behavior and subsequently optimize the energy systems. The main applications include real-time performance monitoring and optimization of heat and power generations units and the corresponding fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance.

Direction of the LTT Lab, part of the Politecnico di Milano Calibration Center LAT N° 104, officially recognized in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 by Accredia DT. LTT is the only Italian Lab officially recognized by Accredia DT for the on-field calibration of thermometric chains used in industrial steam generators. Measurements and calibrations are usually performed in waste to energy plants to verify the temperature limits in the post-combustion zone of the generators, in compliance with the European Directive 2010/75/UE.

Vice Responsible of M.R.T. Lab. which is a notified body for the CE marking, in compliance with the Construction Product Directive (CPD) 305/11, now Construction Product Regulation (CPR) 305/11. The Lab is the European reference for the calibration of Labs that carry on tests in compliance with EN 442, the European Norm on technical specifications and requirements, test methods and rating of radiators and convectors.
