Thermal output measure of heating bodies according EN 442.

The thermal output is determined by measuring the water flow rate through the heating body and determining the enthalpy difference between the inlet and outlet.

The water flow rate is determined by the weight method, weighing the water flowing through the heating body at a given time and under steady-state conditions.

To calculate the specific enthalpies of the water entering and leaving the heating body under test, at the relative temperatures, the formulae defined in Resolution 1 adopted at the RADLAB meeting held at UNI in Milan on 9/10 July 1996 were used.
